Thanks to the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus-foundation, DPG can offer 50 fellowships for young physicists working in Middle- and Eastern European countries.
The fellowships cover the conference fee, up to 520 € for travel and accommodation plus a daily lump sum of 30 €. Candidates for the fellowship must be approaching their phd or have obtained their phd not longer than 6 years ago, they must be member in the Physical Society of their country and must be ready to present (typically with a poster) their work at the spring meeting.
The deadline for applications for a fellowship from the international component of the communication programme is November, 1st.
