RESEARCH INTERESTS
· Experimental, luminescence and reflectivity spectroscopy, and theoretical models for the explanation of the experimental data in semiconductor quantum wells.
· Statistical mechanical studies by mean field theories and (Monte Carlo) molecular simulations in simple fluids and complex fluids (liquid crystals, dendrimers and polymers).
· Mesoscopic models for the investigation of mechanical properties of macromolecural structures.
· Structural studies (estimation of eigenstates and matrix elements) on various semiconductor nanostructures including quantum wells, quantum wires and quantum dots.
· Quantum coherence and interference in semiconductor quantum wells and quantum dots.
· Optical (linear and nonlinear) properties in semiconductor nanostructures and hybrid quantum system (quantum dot-metal nanoparticle).
· Quantum coherent control in semiconductor nanostrutures and hybrid quantum system (quantum dot-metal nanoparticle) with applications in quantum computation (creation of entangled states and quantum gates).
· Quantum Monte Carlo simulations on prototype magnetic chains and estimations of their quantum correlation.
