Applied Physics Studies in Atmospheric Sciences and Electronics
Postgraduate (MSc) Program of Department of Physics of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Patras.
The Postgraduate (MSc) Program “Applied Physics Studies in Atmospheric Sciences and Electronics” aims to educate students in various advanced and specialized subjects such as:
- Design and Development of Integrated Circuits and Systems
- Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Information Fusion
- Physics of Atmosphere and Atmospheric Environment, Meteorology, Climatology, Satellite Remoter Sensing, Weather Forecasting and Climate Change
The Program of Studies of the MSc aims to:
- The familiarization with the use of modern technologies
- The promotion of scientific excellence and research
- The expansion and promotion of theoretical and applied knowledge in the individual subject of the MSc.
Based on the above, the MSc is a necessary qualification for:
- The production of scientists capable of pursuing doctoral studies in relevant scientific areas.
- The creation of executives with a strong theoretical background and upgraded skills in the modern individual subjects of the MSc, capable of facing the challenges of the modern environment.
- The employment of graduates as professional executives in positions of increased responsibility in the private sector or even in the central government and in regional and local government.
The MSc leads to the award of the Diploma of Postgraduate Studies (MSc) “Applied Physics Studies in Atmospheric Sciences and Electronics”, in the following three (3) specializations:
- Electronics – Circuits and Systems.
- Electronics and Information Processing
- Applied Meteorology and Environmental Physics.
The title is awarded by the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Patras.
